Workforce Development Programme is a key part of Jamores Homes’ approach to developing and supporting its staff. We ensure that our staff are well trained and competent to deliver high-quality services to children.
We invest in programmes that addresses core competencies based on Ofsted quality standards. We have developed a range of training methods to ensure that we develop and grow our workforce.
We seek to fill leadership and management posts from within the organisation to generate progression routes for staff who wish to take on management responsibility and progress their career. In the last 12 months, 53 staff have gone through Jamores Academy.
The purpose of the training are development programmes are to ensure that staff:
It’s a foundational training that that guides and equip newly employed staff to understand the nature of the job and the culture of the organizational. Jamores Home recruits and provides training and work experience for individual who willing to work in residential childcare. This is 3-week programme offered relevant training, experience and insight into work in the social care sector.
Upon successful completion of the training and work experience, they were offered an opportunity to work in any of our homes, and given opportunity to grow while on the job.
We are proud to say that subsequently there has been success story of individuals who took up employment with Jamores Homes. We are proud of how much they grew and develop in their careers.
We are proud of the impact the “weekly nugget” have had on the growth and development of our staff, including managers. We equip, empower, impact and skill-up our team members via weekly dose (nugget) of knowledge.

Children’s Home Manager
We are looking for dynamic, ambitious and energetic managers with experience in managing residential homes for children and young people aged 8 -17 years with emotional and behavioural difficulties, learning difficulties, and/or history of mental health problems.
Candidates must be committed to excellence, both in terms of the quality of service delivery and in terms of outcomes for young people.
You will have:
You will need to have a Registered Manager’s award orLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Servicesor a Level 4 qualification relevant to working with children, as well as in management, and have at least 2 year experience of working with children and young people in a residential setting within the last 5 years.
You will also need at least one years experience of supervising and managing professional staff.

Children Support Worker
Candidates applying for the role would be working with children with social, emotional and mental health needs, including associated learning difficulties, mental health need, autism etc. We care for children between the ages of eight and seventeen years.
Candidates applying for this role will ideally have previous experience inresidential childcare and NVQ Level 3 Children and Young People services or a willingness to undertake the qualification.
You will be required to work in partnership with the local/placing authorities, parents or carers and other agencies. The main focus of the job is to support the integration of the young people back into their parental homes.
